Part 2 – New summer tyres
New summer tyres on my Fitnord Ranger 500 e-bike. The Month of April starts with brand new tyres. Ok, the rear tyre has already about 120 km behind. Both are from Schwalbe. Just as the winter front tyre, these 2 also come with a reflexive side band.
The rear tyre
The rear tyre is a “Marathon GT 365 Performance, a Clincher tyre. DualGuard E-50 Reflex, black, size 55-622 | 28 x 2,15” A four seasons, all year tyre. I believe I will use this tyre through next winter – not having to go spikes. Let’s see how that will turn out.
Dualguard means puncture protection. An investment I am willing to make, after lost time spent on previous puncture, including a long walk and fetch by car. E-50 means guarateed to work up to 50 km/h. Should be sturdy enough to transfer the power from the e-motor.
The front tyre
The front tyre is a “Marathon Almotion Evolution”, a fully folded tyre during transport – flatly folded, delivered in a small box. MicroSkin RaceGuard E-25 Addix, size 55-622 | 28 x 2,15″
Puncture protection by double textile layer. “Tubeless Easy”, however I decided to continue with tubes. Is approved as e-bike ready for 25 km/h.
